Digital cameras have taken the shine off the traditional 35 mm film type. The fast paced evolution of digital camera has flooded the market with different models and types. Here are tips to make it easy for you to buy a digital camera that best suits your need.
 
Category: you need to know the type of camera that suits your need. Is it a simple camera for taking family pictures, or the intermediate and advanced type best suited for business and studio use, respectively?

Mega pixel: this determines the quality of image produced by your camera. High mega pixels equals to higher picture quality. If you are looking for quality images that are large enough to edit and print then you should consider nothing less than a 3 mega pixel digital camera.

Memory size: digital cameras need memory to store data. It is important that you check a camera's user guide to know the kind of memory card it accepts before making a purchase. Memory cards increase the storage capacities of your digital camera.

Zoom: your camera needs a zoom to close in on distant objects or action.  You choice camera can have both optical and digital zoom capability. It is however recommended that you opt for a digital camera with a higher optical zoom capability for better picture quality.
