Using search engines effectively

Search tips
Get more accurate search results by using the search strategies below:

Use keywords: use only words or phrases that best describe what you are looking for. Be specific and narrowly define your search. You can also specify colour, date of manufacture and product brand. For example, if you are looking for a Zinox laptop, type Zinox laptop in the search textbox.

Be flexible: if a search yields few hits, try different keywords or combination of key words. Try out different spellings in your search. More than one word often describes an item. Try different options and combinations for better search results. Add or remove the letter "s" for more results. For example, you will get two different lists of items if you search for Zinox laptop and Zinox laptops.

Use the wildcard character: wildcard characters such as *, ?, and $, will broaden your search. Use an asterisk (*) at the end of a word or partial word. For example, "auto*" would return all postings starting with "auto", such as "auto" or "automobile" or "automation", etc.

Browsing through search results
Your search result comprise of the title of items put up for sale. Click on search titles and descriptions under the search box to also search item descriptions. You'll get many more results. If you are not searching for something specific, browse through the complete listing for surprising discoveries.

Post wanted item
If you are unable to find what you are looking for, post a buying lead on www.nairaland.com, www.dealdey.com or www.googletrader.com.ng to tell sellers what you are looking. You are sure to get a good bargain for doing that.
