Cowbell Chocolate hosts 3,000 kids at Summer Camp

Cowbell Chocolate, a brand of Promasidor Nigeria Limited, has hosted more than 3,000 school kids, their parents and their teachers to a one-week long 2012 Summer Camp Educational/Fun programme at the University of Lagos.

The Cowbell Chocolate Summer Camp which is in its 5th year is an educational cum fun programme designed to offer school kids outdoor recreational activities and skill development during the summer. It has held in other parts of the country. Last year, it held in three locations, Lagos, Enugu and Kano.

Mr. Kachi Onubogu, Marketing Director of Promasidor said at the grand finale of the programme at the weekend, that the programme was put together by the brand to equip kids on the necessary life’s skills that would assist them to become better citizens of Nigeria.

“It is the practice of Promasidor to get involved in all events that excite children and make such events memorable for them. The company sponsors events all over the country and these include inter-house sports in schools and other children-specific events,” Onubogu said.

A host of different professionals were invited to sensitize the kids about their individual field of endeavours. They included medical doctor, lawyer, journalist, accountant and many other professionals who were on hand to take the kids through several professions and the requirements for attaining them.

Other side attractions included a live performance by two Nigerian music artistes while the event culminated with a raffle draw, in which three kids within the ages of three to 10 won three bicycles.
