419 Letters in the name of Farouk Lawani

Investment offer from scammers using Farouk Lawani's name

Scammers now use the name of Mr. Farouk Lawan, a Senator of the Federal Republic as the bait in 419 letters sent to unsuspecting and/or greedy victims.

The ingenious scammers are hoping that their victims would assume that Mr. Lawan is in possession of millions of dollars and therefore needs a conduit for stashing the hot dough abroad.



Find below the scam letter making the rounds in the name of Mr. Lawan:

Please permit me to introduce myself,I am Honourable Farouk Lawal (Member Representing Kano Central at the Federal House of Representatives Here in Nigeria).

I humbly seek your assistance in a business transaction that requires your utmost trust and ability to handle investment on behalf of a second party in your country for a minimum period of 7years.

Details would be disclosed and possibility to meet in person, on your willingness to handle this project. The fund for the investment is valued at $32 Million(Thirty Two Milion United States Dollars),All i require from you is TRUTHFULNESS AND SINCERITY.
